About Daniel
Daniel started his first business as a painting contractor while in college. Daniel then became the Director of Marketing for Evergreen International Aviation.
Evergreen exposed Daniel to opportunities around the world: Contract negotiations, pricing/cost analysis, human resources, company sale/acquisition, joint venture opportunities, litigation, and lobbying.
In 2007, Daniel purchased Maupin’s Stoves and Spas in The Dalles.
Daniel remains the owner of the shop, and credits his experiences running it, such as overcoming red tape, as a major influencer for his decision-making as a legislator.
He has enjoyed coaching soccer, basketball and baseball over the years.
Daniel, along with his family, have a strong Christian faith and set of values.
